Uptown Bar & Café Minneapolis Retro T-Shirt

A tribute to one of Minneapolis’ most legendary neighborhood bars and live music venues. The Uptown Bar & Café traced its roots back to the 1930s and became a beloved local institution known for cheap drinks, no-frills diner food, and a gritty, unapologetic atmosphere.

During its celebrated live-music era, the Uptown’s small stage hosted an incredible lineup of punk, alternative, grunge, and indie acts—including The Replacements, The Jayhawks, Nirvana, Oasis, and The Flaming Lips. After nearly eight decades of memories, the bar closed for good in November 2009.
