Remember one of Grand Avenue’s most beloved neighborhood restaurants with this vintage-inspired Tavern on Grand T-shirt.
Opened in 1990 at 656 Grand Avenue in St. Paul, Tavern on Grand became famous for its cozy, cabin-style atmosphere and its signature walleye. The restaurant reportedly served more walleye than any other restaurant in the world, preparing roughly 15 tons of the Minnesota favorite each year. During its opening year, Tavern on Grand even served walleye at a luncheon for former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev during his visit to Minnesota.
Family-run for nearly 35 years, Tavern on Grand remained a favorite gathering place until permanently closing in June 2024. This distressed design celebrates the restaurant’s unmistakable logo, legendary fish dinners, and decades of memories made along Grand Avenue.
A nostalgic Minnesota shirt for longtime customers, St. Paul locals, walleye lovers, and anyone who remembers Tavern on Grand.
